My Father's Name is not Katherine Montalto Sometime in the thirteenth century a tax collector asked a dayworker where were his people from, the man pointed to a high mountain just outside of town Or something else arbitrary like this The origins of a family name passed down by many generations to uphold patriarchal structures Control property through lineage Become Mrs. Husband's First and Last Name Her name, gone. Now a security question So obscure, who she was is a secret What name will you take? What name will you keep? Who are you in relation to these men?
